Giveaway To Help You Feel Better

Its that time of the year when everyone gets those lovely coughs and colds!
But do not fear, I have a solution in conjunction with the lovely people at Olbas


To be in with a chance of winning  2 x Olbas Bath, 2 x Jakemans Honey and Lemon and 2 x Jakemans Throat & Chest just leave a comment below telling me your best tip for relieving a sore throat or snotty nose.

  3. Leave bowls of water on radiators if you have them on high to help keep moisture in the air, this will help a sore throat which is often irritated further by dry air.

  6. I love Olbas for children and even use it myself when I have a cold, I found if I put a few drops on a tissue and pop it in the pillow case it helps my son to sleep.

  7. Vick's vaporub on the soles of your feet and then put on some warm socks :)

  17. Drink lots of fluids, especially fruit squashes and lemonade to help keep you hydrated. Great ways to relieve a sore throat include sucking on ice cubes, drinking hot lemon juice and honey and also gargling with a mixture of warm water with a quarter teaspoon of salt

  20. Traditional bowl of hot water with methol and a towel over your head. Not for the kids but a hot toddy also works wonders for me x

  24. Gargle with warm salt water to help reduce swelling and relieve discomfort: Gargle at least once each hour with 1 tsp (5 g) of salt dissolved in 8 fl oz (240 mL) of warm water. If you have postnasal drip, gargle often to prevent more throat irritation.

  29. chop some garlic and put in in a handkerchief , crush it inside and tie it to the side of childs bed, not only relieve stuffy nose but also is antibacterial x

  30. Buy some menthol crystals for about £2 from pharmacy and steam with them! Best ever for a blocked nose!

  31. Warm drink. As warmth and moisture can be soothing for a sore throat. Whilst it can help to loosen mucous, and clear a "snotty nose" (as it loosens discharge, which can then be wiped away with a clean paper handkerchief :- Then dispose of handkerchief in the bin).

  32. Lots of warm drinks - honey & lemon if possible, keep moisture levels up around your nose - slap some lip balm around your nostrils to stop them getting sore and dispose of the lip balm when your cold has finished!

  37. Keep warm and snuggled in a duvet and try and sweat it out! Honey and Lemon helps loads too!!
